Steve was first my student and then my friend for many years. He was a very talented writer. I greatly enjoyed sharing that passion with him; his passion for writing reignited my own, in fact, many years ago, and I thank you for that: Thank you, Steve. I also recall the joys of sharing long hikes with Steve. May he rest in peace. I wish his family the very best, and my heart goes out to them.

I enjoyed working with Steve he was a very honest straightforward hard-working man. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. I enjoyed his stories and pictures of the hikes that he had been on. My prayers are with his family for comfort and healing at this time. I know that Steve is in a much better place now and we will see him again later.

We never had the opportunity to meet you but we thank you so very much for making Bobs daughter so happy. It has been very unfortunate the circumstances which have occurred with Sandra being unable to be with you when you are laid to rest. R I P Gwen & Bob Graham
