Bill Vallie
Location Manager

Bill Vallie is a West Texas native having been born in Monahans and a graduate of Monahans High School. He graduated from Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1976 and earned his license to practice the art of Funeral Directing in September 1976.Bill moved to Midland and joined the staff of Ellis Funeral Home in February 1977.

Bill’s career has expanded from the daily duties of that of a funeral director to management of a multiple funeral homes and cemeteries. He is currently the General Manager of Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Bill’s community work included membership in the Buffalo Trail Council for Boy Scouts where he was a Cub Master for the First Baptist Church of Midland. Board member and past President of the Midland United Girls Softball Association. Board member and Past President of the Midland High Girls Softball Booster Club. Member of the Midland High FFA Booster Club. Member of the Midland Downtown Lion’s and Midland West Rotary Club were he served on several committees. Has served on educational committees with MISD.

Professional contributions include serving as board member and President of the West Texas Funeral Directors Association, Board member of the Panhandle Funeral Directors Association, and named Funeral Director of the Year in 2000 by the West Texas Funeral Directors Association. Bill has served as a board member and executive board member and the 2006-2007 President of the Texas Funeral Directors Association. Member and board member of the National Funeral Directors Association for the State of Texas.

Bill is married to native Odessan Tammy Martin a graduate of Odessa High, Odessa College and UTPB. He has three children; Penny English of San Antonio, Billy Vallie, Jr. of Amarillo and Megan Vallie of Midland. He has two grand-daughters and one grand-son.
Tony Lujan
Funeral Director

Tony Lujan born and raised in Pecos, Texas, graduated from Pecos High School and attended Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. Tony has been a licensed Funeral Director in the State of Texas for 10 years, and has been employed by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home since 2002.

Tony has one daughter Betsy.
