Lana Jean Nicholas, 54, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012 in Odessa, Texas.
Lana was born on September 10, 1957 to Lester and Betty Jo Young Nicholas. She graduated from Permian High School and attended Odessa College. Lana worked for Dr. Garcia, Dr. Woodward and Dr. Shelton as a medical office secretary. She then worked at Taylor Medical Supply until 1998. Afterwards, she worked at Cingular in Midland until her health issues in 2002.
She married Robert Nicholas in Odessa on February 14, 1993.
Lana’s hobbies included gardening, raising dogs, being an artist and reading her Bible. She is a former member of Highland Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Leslie Nicholas.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Nicholas of Odessa; sisters, Sandy Goode of Eastland and Sherry Westbrook of Porter, TX; four nephews, Grady Goode of Grapevine, Levi Goode of Cross Plains, Michael Westbrook of Colorado, and Nicholas Westbrook of Houston; and many, many friends that loved and cherished her.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The service will take place in the Sunset Chapel on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., with Jess Little officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
