Frederico "Lico" Garcia Subia
When his loved ones and friends remember Frederico “Lico” Garcia Subia they’ll think of his broad smile, contagious laugh and wittiness. He spent his entire life in Odessa, raising his children, working in the oilfields and being a loving son, brother, grandpa and uncle. What made him happiest was spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family will deeply miss him.
Fred was a proud, hardcore oilfield man who made countless friends and memories over his 30 years in the field. He started with Phillips Petroleum in 1972 and transitioned with DCP Midstream, where he currently worked.
Fred, 61, left us to be with his mother, father, and brother, Oscar, just after midnight Thursday, June 7, 2012.
