Guadalupe “Lupe” Florez Perez, age 69 passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at her residence in Odessa, after a lengthy illness. She will be missed dearly by those that knew, respected, and loved her.

She was born October 4, 1940 in Quanah, Texas to Santos Florez and Carlota Elvira Perez. She is known by those who loved her as “Granny”. She was a faithful servant of the West Spanish Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Rivas Perez; brothers, Jesus and Santos Florez, Jr.; sisters Thelma Florez and Lovita Bellamy.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony, Marcos and Richard Perez; daughters, Melissa Perez, Eva Gutierrez and Connie Rodriguez; brothers, Carlos, Juan, Pedro, Richard, Frank and Raymond Florez; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She leaves behind precious memories that we each will carry in our hearts forever.

Visitation with the family will be at 4-7 PM Friday, February 26, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Renato Galindo officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
