Guadalupe Chapa, Sr., age 82 of Odessa, TX, passed away on April 12, 2017 in Odessa, TX.

Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 17, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Guadalupe was born December 19, 1934 to Jose Gutierrez Chapa and Modesta Esponze Chapa in Mission, TX. He married Graciela Gutierrez on June 15, 1959 in Odessa. He worked as a Greens Keeper at the Odessa Country Club.

Guadalupe is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Modesta Chapa and aunt, Consuelo Gonzales.

Guadalupe is survived by his loving wife, Graciela Chapa; sons, Freddie Chapa and his wife, Delma, Joe E. Chapa and his wife, Cindy, Wally Chapa and his wife, Manuela; daughter, Elvia Ramirez and her husband, Israel; brothers, Joe Chapa, David Chapa; sister, Irene Cuellar; grandchildren, Beatrice Alaniz, Joe Adrian Chapa, Julian Chapa, Bianca Chapa, Naomi Porras, Rachael Ramirez, Deadra Prado, Joshua Chapa, Freddie Chapa, Jr., Kassandra Chapa, Emelly Chapa and 20 great grandchildren.
